9 Week GIM Total Body Fitness Challenge

This fitness challenge is a 9 week program designed to help you get in great shape and hopefully change your life in a very positive way. There will be five 9 Week Total Body Fitness Challenges throughout the year.  The participant with the greatest results in the 9 Week Challenge will earn a cash prize. This challenge will consist of cardio kickboxing (with gloves and bags), functional resistance training (using two handled medicine balls, resistance bands, balance balls, and jump ropes), stretching techniques to help increase flexibility, and a general nutrition guideline.

Participants will be assigned a coach that will help motivate and inspire throughout the 9 weeks. The coach is very involved, and will closely monitor food journals (daily for first two weeks and weekly thereafter), and will provide suggestions and tips for healthy eating options.  They are also available to answer any questions.

Testing will be performed on different benchmarks at the beginning, midpoint, and end.  

Initial testing consists of:  body weight, body composition (body fat vs. lean muscle), 1 min. push up test, 1 min. sit up test, sit and reach flexibility test, mile run, and before picture.  For females this picture will be taken in a two piece swimsuit (preferred) or shorts and sports bra.  For males pictures will be taken in a pair of shorts. Three pictures will be taken: front view, side view & back view.

Five week testing is optional.  If you choose to do this testing you will do all of the above tests, however there will be no mile run and no picture will be taken. 

The final testing will take place at the end of the 9 weeks and will consist of the same tests as the initial testing. You will be asked to wear the same swimsuit (or bra and shorts) for the picture.

The person whose picture reflects the greatest change and has the highest combined percent of improvement in the above tests will be named the winner of the challenge.

9 Week Challenge Cost: $356 prepayment which includes gloves, wraps, and t-shirt.

Free Trial

Maintenance Program

After participating in the 9 week challenge, you may continue reaching your fitness goals by joining the maintenance program. This program allows you to continue attending unlimited cardio kickboxing and functional resistance training classes.

There will be occasional individual challenges for maintenance participants to keep the competitive spirit and motivation high.

Cost and Prepayment Options:

  • 12 month prepay contract - $564 (year total - $564)
  • 6 month prepay contract - $342 (year total - $684)
  • 12 month contract with monthly EFT of $52/month (year total - $624)
  • 6 month contract with montly EFT of $62/month (year total - $744)
  • Month to month contract with monthly EFT of $70/month (year total - $840)

COOKING CLASSES

Jen Simpson, a fomer 9 Week Challenge Participant and current coach and instructor at GIM, is now offering cooking classes!  Jen is very creative in the kitchen and she is excited to have the opportunity to share her skills to those that are ready to expand their knowledge of food and cooking.  Jen will conduct classes that will help participants learn to enhance flavors of healthy food,provide recipes and preparation tips,teach participants how to use leftovers in different recipes, and much more!!!!
